Minty was only a 27 year old only standing 5 feet tall when she first tried to escape for her freedom. It was her and her 2 brothers. Her owner put up signs and also gave rewards to whoever would be able to find them. Sadly Minty's brother's couldn't continue onto their trip so they turned back and went back to their owner. They convinced her to go back with them. A few days later Minty went on the trip again, but this time on her own. Little did she know that she would be going this path so many more times in the future to help so many other people and their lives. This is a book about as we all know as Harriet Tubman.
